Gerardo Encinas will be presenting some of his work as part of the Steps of Art/Pasos de Arte exhibit at the Columbus Cultural Art Center.
Gerardo Encinas moved to Columbus from Mexico in 2002. He owns one of the few all-service event planning agencies in Ohio which is also fully bilingual in English & Spanish.
Versatile in his ventures, Gerardo organized his first fashion show in 2013 as a launching celebration for his modeling & makeup studio.
In 2014, he became co-Director of the Miss Ohio Latina pageant, which allowed him to become further integrated in the world of design.
He has presented collections for the Opera Columbus Gala 2019 as well as during the finale shows of Fashion Week Columbus 2016, 2017, & 2018 showcasing gowns, wedding dresses, and menswear designs. This year, he will be presenting Quinceaneras dresses during FWC’s High Tea Fashion Show to take place in October.
One of Gerardo’s most recent achievements has been designing costumes for Nina West, internationally known drag queen, actor & singer who rose to fame with her appearance on the 11th season of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
